    Man accused of stalking coworker in Owensboro with multiple ‘martial arts weapons’

    OWENSBORO, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Law enforcement in Owensboro had a busy Thursday investigating multiple places in town where a fight had taken place between two people. The investigation led to a man being charged after he allegedly tried to start multiple fights with a coworker at different locations throughout town with various types of swords.

    According to the Owensboro Police Department (OPD), officers began an investigation on Thursday into “multiple locations where several altercations took place between two coworkers.”

    Authorities reportedly learned that the fight between the two had started at their workplace on Thursday. Court documents show that 56-year-old Charles Sallee was allegedly “being called called names and he was tired of it.” That’s when Sallee allegedly followed his coworker to the parking lot and tried to start another fight.

    Sallee allegedly told law enforcement that he “grabbed his sword/katana from his vehicle and ran at the other employee” claiming that he wanted to hit the coworker. A uniform citation states that Sallee “wantonly engaged in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury.”

    The coworker was able to get away but was allegedly followed to a Super A Food Mart, and then also to a nearby residence, per the OPD.

    The police said that after the alleged altercation at the Super A store, officers “became involved and determined Charles Sallee was the aggressor.” Salle was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, before being charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree stalking.
