Man arrested in connection with Perry County shooting investigation

PERRY COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A man has been arrested in connection with a Perry County shooting on Saturday.

Deputies were dispatched around 11:30 a.m. to the area of Happy Circle in response to reports of a shooting, according to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).

An initial investigation showed that a man “fired shots into a residence and a vehicle at Happy Circle,” according to law enforcement.

Authorities said a 20-year-old man not yet identified by deputies was arrested in connection with the investigation.

The man was allegedly charged with nine counts of attempted murder, per the PCSO. “We believe this to be related to a domestic situation,” the sheriff’s office said.

There were no reported injuries from the shooting, which remains under investigation.
