Lawrenceburg fire leads to road closure

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Emergency personnel in Lawrenceburg have closed off U.S. 62 in Lawrenceburg as crews battle a fire in the area.

Just after 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KTC) told FOX 56 that U.S. 62 was blocked at mile marker 20.8 between Hilltop Drive and Tyrone Road in response to “reports of a structure fire.”

According to KTC officials, Lawrenceburg police advised drivers that there is no detour at this time, and recommended drivers try to avoid the area while crews work to extinguish the fire.
