KENTUCKY ( FOX 56 ) — Law enforcement agencies are continuing the search for Joseph Couch after a shooting on I-75 led to five people being injured on Sept. 7.

Since then, authorities said on Sunday that over 28,000 acres of land have been searched over the last eight days in the effort to find Couch, most of which has been covered in the area of the Daniel Boone National Forest.

The Kentucky State Police Department (KSP) posted on Facebook Sunday that there is a reward of $25,000 in exchange for information that leads to Couch’s arrest. $15,000 of that reward was offered by Crimestoppers, with a private donor allegedly contributing $10,000 to the total.

KSP said anyone with information that could help find Couch is asked to call any of the following Kentucky law enforcement agencies:

    KSP Post 11 London : (606) 878-6622

    • Crime Stoppers: (606) 682-1013

    • County Communication: (606) 878-7000

    Laurel County Sheriff’s Office : (606) 864-6600

The search for Couch remains ongoing, per law enforcement.
