    Clay County remains idenitified as missing woman 8 years after disappearance

    BIG CREEK, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Remains found in the Daniel Boone National Forest have been identified as a missing Big Creek woman.

    On March 6, 2021, Kentucky State Police (KSP) said that Post 11 responded to a report that human remains were found in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    KSP released on Tuesday that those remains have been identified as 30-year-old Angela “Toot Toot” Smith.

    Smith was reported missing on March 27, 2016, by her family in Clay County, per KSP.

    Investigators noted that foul play is suspected, and the investigation is ongoing.
