Rescue team member helps climber fix prosthetic leg in Muir Valley

ROGERS, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — The Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team (WCSAR) was able to help a climber after what team members said was an unusual call on Sunday.

WCSAR posted on Facebook Sunday that team members got a call for a climber in the area of Muir Valley .

“The highly enabled climber had broken his prosthetic leg and was needing assistance getting back to the parking area,” rescue personnel said.

WCSAR said a team member who lived close by and had access to a UTV was dispatched to help the climber. He was then helped back to his vehicle where the team member helped him fix his prosthetic.

“We are happy to report the repair was successful,” WCSAR said in its Facebook post.
