    Another student charged in second threat at Floyd County elementary school

    FLOYD COUNTY, KY (WOWK) — Another student has been charged for an alleged threat made to Betsy Lane Elementary School in Floyd County.

    The Floyd County Board of Education said this incident is unrelated to a threat toward the same school on Monday . A student was also charged in that instance.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    According to the Floyd County BOE , the Floyd County School District and Floyd County Sheriff’s Office investigated an incident made by a student while off campus. The BOE said that through the investigation authorities learned the student allegedly made “implicit threatening statements to another student.”

    The student suspected of making the threat was taken into custody and charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, according to the BOE.

    Officials with the BOE said no students or staff were ever in “any imminent danger,” and no firearms were discovered on school property.
