London man asks police to ‘help him out with dope’ before being arrested

LONDON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A London man was arrested in connection with a parole violation warrant on Monday, and charged with carrying multiple drugs.

According to the London Police Department (LPD), 45-year-old Ronald Reams of London was arrested on Monday with an active parole violation warrant.

When the police were arresting Reams, officers reportedly found “what was believed to be suspected methamphetamine and marijuana on his person,” according to a news release.

Court documents show Reams told police he allegedly smoked marijuana, “but did not know where the methamphetamine came from.”

Reams allegedly asked officers to “help him out with the dope,” according to an arrest citation.

Reams was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Police said that Reams was also allegedly connected with several thefts in the area, which the LPD said officers are investigating.
