Kentucky lawmaker remains in ICU after lawn mower accident

FRANKFORT, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — The Kentucky Senate majority spokesperson released a statement Wednesday with a health update on Sen. Johnny Turner , a Republican from Harlan.

Turner went to the hospital on Sept. 15 after driving his lawn mower into an empty swimming pool at his home.

The statement said Turner is improving physically. However, he remains in the ICU.

Turner was elected to the Senate in 2020 and served in the Kentucky House from 1999 to 2002.
