1 injured, arrested after trooper-involved Bowling Green shooting

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A man was arrested and is awaiting extradition after a trooper-involved shooting in Bowling Green on Wednesday.

It happened around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Kentucky State Police (KSP). Troopers said in a news release that the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) was requested by Post 3 in Bowling Green to help investigate the shooting.

A man “subject sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee where he was treated and released,” KSP said.

The man was arrested upon his release from the hospital and is reportedly waiting to be extradited to Kentucky.

Law enforcement said no other injuries were reported.
