Tracking power outages: Thousands without power as Helene impacts Kentucky

KENTUCKY ( FOX 56 ) — Tropical Storm Helene’s heavy winds and heavy rains have already knocked out the power for tens of thousands of Kentuckians.

According to PowerOutage.us , there are 203,029 Kentuckians without power as of 6:21 p.m.

Weather-related incidents that damage power lines, such as strong winds and lightning strikes, can result in power outages.

Currently across central Kentucky , the following power outages have been reported:

• Bourbon County : 2,763 power outages
• Boyle County : 2,233 power outages
• Clark County : 3,108 power outage
• Fayette County : 35,625 power outages
• Franklin County : 2,400 power outages
• Jessamine County : 4,761 power outages
• Madison County : 3,704 power outages
• Montgomery County : 5,990 power outages
• Scott County : 5,300 power outages
• Woodford County : 4,617 power outages

Power crews will be diligently working to restore power to all customers experiencing outages, and FOX 56 will continue monitoring the impacts of the latest severe weather event .
