    Man dead after being hit by train in Somerset

    SOMERSET, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — First responders were on the scene overnight after a man was hit by a train in Somerset.

    In a Facebook post on Thursday morning, the Somerset Fire Department said the accident happened near West Columbia Street and Mill Street. Dispatchers said they received word a person on the train tracks was hit by a passing train.

    Crews searched the area on foot before a drone was able to locate the individual.

    The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office identified the man as 34-year-old Edward Yanicko of Somerset.
