    Student charged after alleged threat at Floyd County school

    FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A juvenile was charged after an incident at a Floyd County school on Monday.

    Floyd County Public Schools said an incident at John M. Stumbo Elementary School resulted in someone being charged.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    The student was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, according to a news release.

    The district said no firearms were found on school property, and students and staff weren’t in imminent danger.

    A Floyd County Sheriff’s Office investigation revealed that a student allegedly made implicit threats to another student, according to a news release.

    The Floyd County School District is working with the sheriff’s office as the investigation continues.
