Kentucky police find body in Robertson County home, 1 woman arrested

KENTUCKY ( FOX 56 ) — A woman was reportedly found inside the Brierly Ridge Road home and arrested without incident around 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to Kentucky State Police, Torilena Fields, 32, of Mount Olivet, was charged with obstructing governmental operations, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse.

KSP said that, after further investigation, additional charges may be filed.

She will be booked into the Bourbon County Detention Center later today, per KSP.

State police are investigating after a woman was found dead in a Robertson County home.

Kentucky State Police said officers were called around 12:26 p.m. to Brierly Ridge Road in Robertson County concerning the death of a woman.

“Try to make contact with somebody in the house. The house was secured, backed out, maintained a perimeter for the house. Obtained a search warrant, the search warrant is now being served by our special response team,” said David Jones, KSP public affairs officer.

Authorities said the death investigation is still ongoing and officials do not have a suspect in custody. Police said the situation is contained, and they don’t believe the public is in danger.

“We don’t know if anybody is in the house for sure, but we’re taking every precaution to ensure everyone goes home safely,” Jones said.

Kentucky State Police said information has been pushed out on social media by community members, but none of that has been verified by officials.

“We haven’t been able to process anything yet. This is going to be a long night for our guys,” Jones said.
