Eubank man charged after motorcycle driver killed, passenger ‘seriously’ injured in crash

EUBANK, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A man is accused of killing a motorcycle driver and severely injuring a passenger after a crash on Saturday night.

According to the Kentucky State Police Department (KSP), around 8 p.m. Saturday, troopers at Post 11 in London were told that there had been a deadly crash involving two vehicles on US 27 near Floyd Switch Estesburg Road in Eubank.

An initial investigation showed that 63-year-old Larry Stull of Eubank was heading north on US 27 in a tan 2015 Nissan Altima when he allegedly rear-ended a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by 63-year-old Chester Dick of Somerset, according to authorities.

Both Dick and a passenger riding the motorcycle with him were ejected in the crash, per KSP.

Dick was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office, and the passenger was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for “serious physical injuries” by emergency personnel, according to a news release.

Law enforcement said alcohol is believed to be a factor that contributed to the crash.

Stull was arrested and charged with:

• Murder
• Driving under the influence with a suspended license – first offense

The crash remains under investigation.
