    Lexington man charged after stabbing ‘geeking out’ man, claims self-defense

    LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A man has been arrested after reportedly stabbing another man in self-defense Wednesday night in Lexington.

    According to an arrest citation, Joseph Hamblin, 31, was sitting near South Broadway and West Vine near Rupp Arena when he claimed he was punched in the face by a man who was “geeking out.”

    In the citation, Hamblin said the man pressed their chest against his face and hit him two more times before he “defended” himself by stabbing the man with a knife. Hamblin also said the stabbing was an accident.

    Hamblin was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. He is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.

    well this article is either missing information or the police are fcked up for charging him w assault 2nd.. a man "geeked up" (so prob meffin arounx or on that damn ren/spice) runs up on him and punches him 2x and dude defends himself.. and he catches assault 2nd? was 'geeked out' dude charged? why is this not self defense? what counts as news is a joke these days. half-ass writing or half-ass information being pumped out before they have the real story or the full story bc in this internet-based news its all about the clicks and quantity over quality.
