    Minor shot near Imperial Drive in Lexington

    LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A minor was shot before 2 a.m. Friday morning and the police are investigating.

    Details are limited surrounding the shooting, but FOX 56 has been told that the Lexington Police Department was called for shots fired on Imperial Avenue, where police said they found a minor who had been shot.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    Imperial Avenue is found near Douglass Park, right off Newtown Pike.

    The minor was taken to an area hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police. The age of the child or any other information surrounding them is not known at this time.

    The police said there is no traffic impact on the area and the motive behind the shooting remains a mystery.
