    2 killed in early morning Nicholasville shooting: Police investigating

    NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Police are investigating after two people were killed in a Nicholasville shooting in the early hours of Saturday morning.

    Police said that early on Saturday morning, officers responded to a reported shooting at a home on Edwards Road.

    Upon arriving at the scene, officers saw that 20-year-old Isabella Mae Walsh had died from two gunshot wounds.

    An investigation showed that Isabella’s boyfriend, 21-year-old Willy Milfort Junior was identified as the suspect. He reportedly ran away from the house where Walsh had been shot, and went to his family home on Winner’s Circle, according to a news release.

    “As members of the Nicholasville Police Special Response team approached the residence in an effort to apprehend Milfort, he took his own life,” the Nicholasville Police Department (NPD) said.

    Nicholasville police said officers wish to extend their sympathies to the families and community members affected by the Saturday morning shooting, which remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the NPD at (859) 8859467.
