Human remains recovered from Allegheny River in Springdale Borough
SPRINGDALE, Pa. (KDKA) -- Human remains were recovered from the Allegheny River in Springdale Borough on Sunday.Emergency officials were notified just before noon Sunday of human remains inside a vehicle located in the Allegheny River near the 100 block of Butler Street. The Murrysville Medic One Dive Team was training in the area when the vehicle was located.The remains will be transported to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office for identification and cause and manner determinations, according to a release from the Allegheny County Police Department.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.

Pittsburgh Paramedic Injured in Downtown Vehicle Collision While on Motorcycle Patrol
A medic patrolling on a motorcycle became the unforeseen victim of traffic's unpredictable nature in downtown Pittsburgh when a vehicle struck him near the intersection of Wood Street and Third Avenue, according to officials. The incident, which took place just after 10 a.m. on Saturday, left the paramedic with leg and shoulder injuries, although stable enough to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

Fire tears through home in Scott Township
SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) -- Multiple fire crews responded to a scene in Scott Township on Sunday.Initial calls came in from the scene around 12:30 p.m.Officials tell KDKA-TV that two people were transported from the scene. Their conditions are currently unknown.Neighbors nearby describe hearing an explosion before the house went up."My wife came and asked me if I heard an explosion and I didn't, and about a minute later, she came down saying the house next door was on fire, and we needed to get out immediately. Pittsburgh motorcycle medic struck, injured Downtown
A city motorcycle medic was injured Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle in Downtown Pittsburgh. The medic was taken to a local hospital in stable condition with leg and shoulder pain, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson Cara Cruz.
