Haaland Announces $16M for Drought Resilience During Washington State Visit
TOPPENISH, WA – Secretary Haaland concluded a multi-day visit to Washington State to celebrate major progress in implementing President Biden’s Investing in America agenda to safeguard communities from increased threat of wildland fire and severe drought, restore ecosystems, and strengthen tribal communities. The Lakewood Farmers Market and Summer Nights at the Pavilion Summer Concert return to Fort Steilacoom Park Tuesday, July 30. The Lakewood Farmers Market runs every Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. and will continue uninterrupted through Sept. 17. The summer concerts also run Tuesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Pavilion at Fort Steilacoom Park and will continue through Aug. 27.

Home from Iraq, after returning to Army service to establish the National Police College in Baghdad, Larry honored Lakewood with tireless community service benefiting our Boys & Girls Club, our two Rotary Clubs, local veterans and neighborhood associations, and the Lakewood Community Foundation Fund (LCFF). Larry was a ray of light, touching the lives of everyone he knew with inspired civic pride. We were stunned when he died one morning in January, 2016.
