On July 10, 2024, the Huntley Area Lions Club, District 1-J, generously donated $1,000 to the Huntley Area Public Library. This donation will be used to purchase items for sight and hearing-impaired patrons, including large print books. The store is the brainchild of veteran deep-house DJ and producer Vick Lavender and former union leader Jerry Morrison, who’ve both spent decades in the house-music scene but connected for the first time only a few years ago.
