Evil Spirits Won’t Stop Mookie Betts

The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated the return of Mookie Betts to their lineup last night in Milwaukee despite the fact that Betts prefers to stay in separate accommodations from the rest of the team. He is apparently disturbed by the idea that the team hotel is haunted which cost him a good night’s rest the last time he stayed there. Covino & Rich are filling in for DP this morning and Covino shares a spooky family story to set the mood as they consider whether Mookie is acting reasonably in this situation.

Steve Covino: “This becomes a story, ‘Oh, you know, Mookie Betts didn’t stay with the team...’”

Rich Davis: “Does this make Mookie Betts a wacko to you?”

Steve: “...I’m sure Mookie Betts has heard some crazy stories, he watched too many paranormal episodes of...X-Files or any sort of paranormal show, you know, you get spooked a little easy.”
