The top three quarterbacks taken have defensive coaches and he has Sean Payton – next to Andy Reid probbaly the best offensive coach in football. Think it matters for a young quarterback? He had 61 college starts. Are you watching this kid?? He is tearing it up.
I know what you’re saying -- ‘ColiN, YOu cAN’t JUDgE ThE PReSeASoN!’... Timeout... You’re gonna tell me, all you fanboys for Dak Prescott, after ONE preseason game you were like ‘Get tOnY roMO Out OF HERe!’... Remember that game at the Colosseum in LA? You literally made a decision, and it was ‘Super Bowls’ to follow.
I do think, you can see ‘overwhelmed’ very quickly. You can see bad mechanics and anxiety as a quarterback very quickly. You can see when somebody’s got it. Bo Nix has it. This is a fit. I think J.J. McCarthy with an offensive coach and good weapons would have excelled but he’s out for the year. Penix has a defensive coach, Caleb a defensive coach, Drake Maye a defensive coach, Jayden Daniels a defensive coach. Bo Nix got arguably the second-best offensive coach in this league with good weapons, and they brought Troy Franklin, his best college receiver, with him. And Mims, and Courtland Sutton, and 2-3 backs who are capable. O-line not terrible. Left tackle is good. I’m just telling ya... I know it’s preseason, but you can see ‘lost’ very quickly. I’m watching Justin Fields’ career and it didn’t take long to go ‘man, he doesn’t see the field.’ Zach Wilson is a great example. You could see very quickly that he doesn’t see the field – there’s open guys. Bo Nix sees it and that arm strength is wayyyy better than he got credit for. He can zip that puppy in there.”
