( Tua Tagovailoa on the Dan Le Batard Show ) “If you woke up every morning and I told you, you sucked at what you did, that you don’t belong doing what you do, that you shouldn’t be here, that this guy should be here, you haven’t earned this right. Then you have someone else come in and say, ‘Dude, you’re the best fit for this, you are accurate, you’re the best whatever, you are this, you are that.’ How would it make you feel listening to one or the other? You see what I am saying? You hear it, regardless of what it is the good or the bad. You hear it more and more you start to actually believe that. I don’t care who you are. You can be the president of the United States, you have a terrible person telling you things you don’t want to hear or things you shouldn’t be hearing, you are going to start to believe that about yourself. That’s sort of what ended up happening. It’s been two years of training that out of, not just me, but of guys that have been here since my rookie year.”

Rob Parker: “Brian Flores? Is that really where you wanna go? He’s not even a head coach anymore. I think Tua won by default. He got the big contract from the Dolphins, he’s still there, he’s their franchise quarterback, and Brian Flores is in Pittsburgh as an assistant coach, and will probably never get another head coaching job. Do you REALLY need to say anything??”

Shaun King: “It enhances what I still believe, and this is in spite of Tua getting a four-year, $212 million contract. I’m happy for him, but Tua is seeking comfort in this situation. He’s not an alpha male. Brian Flores got the Miami Dolphins job after spending ten years with one of the greatest alphas we have ever seen named Tom Brady. Not a great skillful athlete, no one thinks Brady throws the best football, or has the most arm talent, or is even an average athlete, but his combination of football IQ, calmness when everything is chaotic, and his ability to lead and be an alpha created a lot of success. Never forget -- Joe Burrow was the first pick in Tua’s draft. Justin Herbert was taken directly after Tua, Jordan Love was taken at the end of that first round, and Jalen Hurts was taken early in the second round. I challenge people right now to tell me one NFL team not named the Miami Dolphins that would take Tua over Herbert or Jordan Love. The ceiling is so much higher for those other guys. I don’t think you can win championships with a Tua at quarterback. He doesn’t have the leadership or IQ as a Drew Brees. Brad Johnson was better than Tua.
This is how limited Tua is. If you go back and re-listen to that audio, Tua said ‘what if someone came in the room and told you that you shouldn’t be here, you don’t belong here, and you’re not good enough?’, and then when he went to the 'good' side the only thing he could say was ‘what if somebody else came in and said you were accurate...’ And then he went ‘dot, dot, dot, dot, dot’ because he can’t even come up with something else that he does at an elite level. His ball location is the only redeeming trait he has. He had 29 touchdowns and 14 picks – that year is so overblown.
I’m not anti-Tua, all I’m saying is I understood Brian Flores’ position. If you were going to take a quarterback at five, I would have went with the upside play, and when you look at Tua’s career he’s always a guy that seems to be seeking love. Mike McDaniel is really the first guy he’s ever found it with. When he got to Alabama he had to back up Jalen Hurts. He’s looking for love with McDaniel and I hope it works for him, but I don’t think it will.”

Watch Rob Parker and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Shaun King , guest-hosting for Chris Broussard on Fox Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple , discuss Tua Tagovailoa’s scathing comments on his former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores , as Tua labeled Flores a ‘terrible person’.

Check out the segment above as King says Tua is not an ‘alpha male’, and a guy who is simply ‘seeking comfort’ not wanting to have his feelings hurt by a coach who was rightfully challenging him, adding that the Dolphins will never win a Super Bowl with Tua.
