Doug Gottlieb: I Have No Problem with Nick Sirianni’s Decision to Pass

After last night’s Monday Night Football fiasco, Philadelphia Eagles HC Nick Sirianni is being roundly criticized for calling a pass play late in the game when he probably should have run the ball to avoid stopping the clock. And while the decision may have ultimately cost them the game, Doug is just fine with it. Sirianni saw a chance to end the contest then and there and he took it. If Saquon Barkley makes that easy catch, the game would have been over and we aren’t having this discussion.

Doug Gottlieb: “I can think Nick Sirianni’s act is tired and a complete artificial performance and still say, look, you got a chance to win the game, go win the football game...I don’t like every decision they made. That one, I don’t mind. I know they choked but, again, that decision, I don’t mind.”
