God be with all the souls effected by Helene and those in Milton's path. While some are using this opportunity for political posturing many average citizens are busy with efforts to help those in need now and in the coming days. God be with them as well. I worked relief following Andrew, Ivan, and Katrina, and after the 2011 tornado outbreak in Alabama. I provided financial and professional support to victims of Hurricane Michael, and was a victim myself of Camille, Eloise, and Frederick. Assistance from the Federal Government is important and a valuable resource for the stabilization of effected communities. But, the Federal Government is NOT required, NOR responsible for meeting every single need that exists. If you criticize, but won't be bothered to help, you're adding to the suffering. If you want to help, reach out to Samaritan's Purse, Red Cross, or another reputable organization. And, don't forget about the displaced fur babies. They need food and shelter too. ❤️
