SAN ANGELO, Texas — A Customs and Border Protection drone went down in a field along S. Gas Plant Road in south San Angelo Sunday afternoon. A Texas DPS trooper told us the aircraft, which appears to be an MQ-9 Predator B unmanned drone, crashed at about 3 p.m. and that there were no injuries.

Downtown roadway stripes to be painted
SAN ANGELO, Texas — A contract has been signed by the city of San Angelo to paint stripes on downtown’s roadways. The striping will involve a new center line and new parking stalls. These new stalls will include more ADA accessible spaces. The city will notify residents when work is set to begin. The city is currently waiting for the contractor to confirm their schedule.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo State Park said O.C. Fisher Reservoir is 98.8% empty. With the reservoir only at 1.2% capacity, even though hand launching of kayaks, canoes and other small boats is discouraged because of the lengthy and muddy walk from the bottom of the boat ramp to the water's edge. Recreational swimming, wading or floating are also discouraged for the same reasons.
