Qualifying Concho Valley veterans can get more housing, utility help

DNA finally links biological parents with baby's body found in 1980
ST AUGUSTA, Minn. — Stearns County officials announced they're closing a decades-old cold case after a recent review of DNA evidence. According to a statement from the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, the case stems from the discovery of an infant's body just feet off a roadway in St. Augusta, Minnesota, on April 3, 1980. Sheriff's officials said investigators were able to use DNA taken from the full-term, live-born baby, identified as Baby Jane Doe, and finally determine the identities of both of her parents.

West Texas volunteer firefighter arrested on felony arson charges
ALPINE, Texas — A West Texas volunteer firefighter and EMS crew member was arrested July 5 on suspicion of setting multiple brush fires in the area, spanning from 2023-2024. David Matthew Neet, 44, of Alpine was arrested by Brewster County Sheriff’s Office deputies on 20 felony counts in connection with multiple wildland fires. His bond was set at $300,000. Arson is a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in a state jail facility and a fine of up to $10,000.
Baby Dolls adult entertainment club catches fire in Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a fire at the Baby Dolls adult entertainment club in Fort Worth on Wednesday morning. Firefighters responded to the building in the 3600 block of Highway 157 around 9 a.m. and say they noticed the back wall of the club collapsed shortly after they arrived, followed by a total building collapse.
