Mother of Elijah Vue, and her boyfriend, charged in child’s death

TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The mother of 3-year-old Elijah Vue and her boyfriend are now charged in the child’s death. The Manitowoc County District Attorney says Jesse Vang is charged with physical abuse of a child, hiding a corpse and more. While Katrina Baur is charged with multiple counts including chronic neglect of a child.

Elijah was reported missing by Vang in February of this year while he was caring for the boy. His remains were found just last month in Manitowoc County. “This is an incredibly tragic situation that has shaken our community. My thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Elijah’s family who are enduring unimaginable pain.”

Baur and Vang both been jailed since soon after Elijah went missing on child neglect charges related to the condition of the home and treatment of the boy.
