These are some of the many bear sightings this summer.

One bear was seen in Highlands Ranch entering garages, climbing over fences and going through trash cans. Another bear was found lying under a deck in Pagosa Springs. One bear even stumbled upon the Colorado Renaissance Festival, where authorities had to remove the unexpected visitor .

Colorado Parks and Wildlife told FOX31 that bears have been spotted in many neighborhoods because they’re looking for food .

CPW asks people to haze the bears to help them move on . They suggest making loud noises like with car alarms, pots and pans, air horns or yelling. They also ask people to keep all trash locked until the morning of pickup and to make sure grills are thoroughly cleaned so they do not smell like food residue.

If you spot a bear in your neighborhood, CPW asks people to call and report it to them so they can track and keep data of bear whereabouts.
