DENVER ( KDVR ) — Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado’s 6th District said he is confident in the Democratic party’s vision and their ability to “make the case” to voters.

Crow, a Democrat, spoke to FOX31 while attending day two of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago about the convention and his thoughts on the race as a whole.

“We’re going to continue to talk about how this is all about telling America’s story,” Crow said. “We’re at a really critical crossroads right now as a country and this is a conversation about where we want to go.”

Crow said those two paths are really between choosing to either come together or “give in to (the) division and the vitriol” that he sees in politics.

“I served in the military, I did three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and I served with Democrats, I served with Republicans, I served with unaffiliated [voters], people from every corner of this country,” he said. “And we came together as brothers and sisters, and we did great things, and we had each other’s backs.”

Crow said Democrats have to answer the questions and concerns that are on voters’ minds and make a case for why they should get the vote.

“I take nothing for granted,” he said. “Nobody ever deserves somebody’s vote. You have to make the case, you have to tell how you’re going to deliver for them and their family because folks are working really hard just trying to get ahead.”
