Denver weather: Warm temperatures coming with minor rain chances

​​​​​​DENVER (KDVR) — Summer heat is the main feature of Denver’s weather this week, but slightly cooler temperatures are expected in the coming week.

According to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast, there are minor rain chances for the next few days.

Weather tonight: Dry and mild

Temperatures Wednesday night will fall into the lower and middle 60s across the eastern half of Colorado, with 40s and 50s forecast for the mountains. Denver’s average low temperature is around 57 degrees, so it will technically be an unseasonably mild night.

Weather tomorrow: Not as hot with a few thunderstorms

Thursday will still be very warm but not as hot as Wednesday. Expect temperatures in the upper 80s and low 90s across the region.

The day will begin dry, but spotty showers and thunderstorms will develop starting in the mid-afternoon. The Eastern Plains will have the best chance for heavy rain.

Looking ahead: Temperatures moderate as rain exits

For those who are not a fan of the high summer heat, the good news is temperatures are expected to moderate starting the second half of the week.

High temperatures through this weekend and into early next week will hover on either side of 90 degrees, close to normal.

After Thursday, rain chances begin to diminish.

The weekend looks mostly dry with sunny weather the main feature of next week.
