    4 indicted in violent Denver jewelry store heist

    DENVER (KDVR) — Federal prosecutors announced four indictments in a violent Denver jewelry store heist that law enforcement has said was linked to the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang .

    A federal grand jury handed up the indictment this week, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado .

    The four defendants are all Venezuelan nationals:

    • Oswaldo Lozada-Solis, 23
    • Jesus Daniel Lara Del Toro, 20
    • Jean Franco Torres-Roman, 21
    • Edwuimar Nazareth Colina-Romero, 18

    They appeared in court on Tuesday and Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

    The family-owned Joyeria El Ruby was targeted on the afternoon of June 24 in an armed robbery captured on video. Several people wiped out the store and violently attacked the family members inside, threatening to kill them and even ripping off their personal jewelry, they told FOX31 at the time .

    Family members told FOX31 that Joyeria El Ruby was cleaned out in three minutes. Surveillance cameras captured clear images of the suspects.

    Torres-Roman was arrested a few days later in a federal law enforcement operation in El Paso, Texas.
