DENVER ( KDVR ) — The University of Colorado Buffaloes are back at Folsom Field for their first game of the season on Thursday against the North Dakota State Bison.

Coach Prime is stepping into his second year with the Buffs and leading the team as they rejoin the Big 12 for the first time in 13 seasons . While the Buffs couldn’t secure a playoff spot last season, Deion Sanders took over the program that went 1-11 in 2022 to a 4-8 record (1-8 in the Pac-12) in 2023.

The team has already sold out tickets for the 2024 season for the second year in a row and only the 10th time in history. If you bought one of the sold-out tickets, you’ll be able to enjoy a warm and sunny first game.

    Buffs’ gameday forecast

The Pinpoint Weather team is tracking the forecast for the game on Thursday. Temperatures will reach a high of 84 degrees, but you might want to grab a light jacket as temperatures could drop over 10 degrees during the game.

At kickoff, the high will be 79 degrees with sunny skies at 6 p.m. However, once the sun goes down, so will the temperature.
