    Road rage suspected in deadly Denver shooting

    DENVER ( KDVR ) — One person was shot and killed in Denver’s Baker neighborhood Thursday, and police believe it was road rage-related.

    On Thursday at around 2 p.m., the Denver Police Department posted on X that officers were investigating a shooting near West Byers Place and South Kalamath Street.

    At the time, police found one victim who was taken to a local hospital.

    Almost a day later, Denver police provided an update and said the victim had died from their injuries and the shooting was being investigated as a homicide.

    Investigators said the circumstances around the shooting appear to be road rage-related. DPD did not provide any further information but said they are working to develop suspect information.

    The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has information is asked to call the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
