DENVER (KDVR) — A man was taken to the hospital after a semi-truck crashed Friday afternoon, prompting a full closure of U.S. Highway 6 west of Golden.

Colorado State Patrol told FOX31 that the crash was reported just before 1 p.m. and said it involved only the semi.

The semi crashed between mile markers 267 and 270. The patrol said the driver, a 30-year-old man from Denver, was taken to a hospital.

The semi was totaled and completely blocking the roadway on its side, but there was no leak coming from the semi, CSP said.
