DENVER ( KDVR ) — After some morning showers and clouds, skies will clear by the afternoon with below-average highs in the 70s in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather today: Improving conditions

Scattered showers and extra clouds will be around Thursday morning with mild morning lows.

Skies will clear through the noon hour, and mainly sunny skies will be back by the afternoon with mild highs in the middle 70s.

Weather tonight: Clear skies

The skies will stay clear Thursday night as the light wind shifts out of the south. Overnight lows are back to seasonal averages in the middle 50s.

Looking ahead: Drying out, heating up

Friday rounds out the workweek with abundant sunshine and seasonal highs in the middle 80s.

Saturday kicks off the weekend with mainly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s. The 90s make a return on Sunday afternoon with partly to mainly sunny skies.

Monday has a few extra clouds through the afternoon with toasty highs nearing 90 degrees. The heat and sunny skies linger through the middle of next week.
