DENVER ( KDVR ) — Douglas County deputies were looking for a dachshund that went missing Tuesday, but she has since been found.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a call about the dog from the 1100 block of Waverton Ranch Road in The Meadows neighborhood in Castle Rock.

The pup’s owner told deputies that he ordered something for home delivery and received a notification at around 2 p.m. that the item was delivered.

When the owner returned home a short time later, he said he noticed his dog was missing and did not come when she was called — which he described as unusual.

On Thursday, the sheriff’s office said the owner was notified that the pup showed up at the Dumb Friends Buddy Center and he was on his way to pick her up. The sheriff’s office said that the delivery driver who dropped off the package may have assumed the dog needed help and brought her to the shelter.

So whose dog was this ? Must have been someone important, I’m quite sure my dog coming up missing would not get a police response.
