Minutes later, the victim’s credit card was used at a King Soopers near Highlands Ranch Parkway and University Parkway. Police responded to the grocery store, but were not able to arrest the suspects.

On Sept. 3, Labor Day, two suspects were arrested at a hotel in the 7600 block of East Union Avenue in Denver. Police said one suspect was arrested in the hotel lobby, where they found he was armed with a handgun and extra ammunition. The second suspect was arrested shortly after near a stolen Toyota RAV4 parked outside the hotel.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found a hoodie and mask matching the description of what was worn during the Cougar Run trespass, in addition to drugs and multiple stolen credit cards. Deputies also searched the hotel room the suspects had been staying in and found allegedly stolen property. Items recovered included four computers, numerous passports, driver’s licenses, social security cards and credit cards. There were also some personal items linked to various victims.
