    Denver police investigate serious pedestrian hit-and-run

    DENVER (KDVR) – The Denver Police Department said it located a vehicle involved in a serious hit-and-run Friday night.

    A Medina Alert was issued for the vehicle. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation discontinued the alert just after 2 p.m. after the vehicle was located.

    The hit-and-run happened in the area of South Sante Fe Drive and Interstate 25 around 11:45 p.m.

    One person was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

    Just curious. Don't the police have a license plate database that they can use and share with other police departments to see who this car belongs to.
