Missing 15-year-old found safe in Aurora

DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Aurora Police Department said a 15-year-old who was the subject of an Endangered Missing Alert has been found safe.

Police said the teen has a developmental disability and he functions at a 6-year-old level. He also requires a medication, which police said he left without.

He left his residence in Aurora on Sunday night and police announced he was found safely just before 1 p.m. on Monday.

The Aurora Police Department said a community member found him in a drainage tunnel and called 911.
