Some Colorado farmers markets closing soon, others to remain open until November

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Meteorological summer ended on Sept. 1, and with it went some seasonal activities. While the weather may still be warm, a few farmers markets across the Front Range are closing for the year.

But don’t worry, some markets plan to stay open through November.

Farmers market closing dates

A handful of farmers markets closed at the end of August, but many across the Front Range will remain open until October and some even toward the end of November.

Here are the closing dates for farmers markets in the area:

• Spring Merchant Markets: Littleton : Saturday, Sept. 21
• Fort Collins Farmers Market : Wednesday, Sept. 25
• Spring Merchant Markets: Lakewood : Saturday, Sept. 28
• Southlands Farmers Market : Saturday, Sept. 28
• Arvada Farmers Market : Sunday, Sept. 29
• Orchard Farmers Market : Sunday, Sept. 29
• Farmers Market at Fairgrounds Park : Sunday, Sept. 29
• El Rancho Colorado : Tuesday, Oct. 1
• Boulder County Farmers Markets : Wednesday, Oct. 2
• Golden Farmers Market : Saturday, Oct. 5
• Cherry Creek Fresh Market : Saturday, Oct. 12
• Central Park Farmers Market : Sunday, Oct. 13
• Real Farmers Market : Saturday, Oct. 19
• Festival Park Farmers Markets tival Park : Sunday, Oct. 20
• City Park Farmers Market : Saturday, Oct. 26
• Larimer County Farmers’ Market : Saturday, Oct. 26
• Spring Merchant Markets: Highlands Ranch : Sunday, Oct. 27
• University Hills Farmers Market : Saturday, Oct. 28
• South Pearl Farmers Market : Sunday, Nov. 10
• Fort Collins Farmers Market : Sunday, Nov. 10
• Boulder County Farmers Markets : Saturday, Nov. 23

While there are still a few months left to pick up fresh produce, one farmers market in Denver, the Green Valley Ranch Farmers Market, has already closed. However, markets in Cherry Creek, City Park, Central Park and University Hills will remain open through October, with the market on South Pearl Street staying open until November.
