DENVER ( KDVR ) — An Arvada chef took a break from Stone Cellar Bistro ‘s kitchen for a month while he joined Gordon Ramsey in the cooking television show “Hell’s Kitchen.”

Soon, Brandon Kerr will be featured on Season 23 of the show, in which two teams of chefs will compete for a job as head chef at a restaurant.

According to the bistro, Kerr was cooking in Charleston, second in charge at one of the best restaurants in the south when he got a phone call. Soon after, he was in Colorado with his best friend rebuilding a restaurant in Olde Town Arvada. The pair hand-made everything from tables and shelving to the bar, kitchen and restrooms.

Kerr continued in the bistro’s kitchen, then he got another offer, except this wasn’t to cook with his best friend. It was to cook with a multi-Michelin-starred chef notorious for his harsh critiques and loud temper.
