    Denver weather: Hot and breezy weather increases fire concerns Thursday

    DENVER (KDVR) — Rain will clear Wednesday night ahead of hot, windy and dry conditions moving into Denver’s weather Thursday.

    Weather tonight: Rain clearing

    Showers stick around the forecast Wednesday evening ahead of clearing Wednesday night. Temperatures will stay on the warm side, only falling to the upper 50s.

    Weather tomorrow: Hot, dry, breezy

    Thursday will be hot, dry and breezy. Fire concerns will increase by Thursday afternoon as wind gusts reach 30-40 mph and relative humidity fall stays as low as 10%.

    Because of this, red flag warnings have been issued from noon through 8 p.m. During this time, it will be important to avoid outdoor burning or any activity that could create a spark that could lead to a wildfire.

    Temperatures on Thursday will be hot, and climb into the lower 90s. This is just a couple of degrees shy of the daily record, which is 94 degrees set in 1911.

    Looking ahead: Sunny, more seasonal

    Friday will be sunny and more seasonal with temperatures only reaching the mid-80s.

    On Sunday, it will be warm and sunny with for tailgates and the start of the Broncos home opener. By the end of the game, there will be more clouds and a slight chance for an isolated shower. Then Warm and sunny weather returns for the start of the workweek.
