DENVER ( KDVR ) — Sunny skies are back in Denver on Thursday, but it’s a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day due to brisk winds and low humidity, causing an elevated fire danger risk in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather today: Breezy winds

Colorado will see mainly sunny skies on Thursday with warm highs in the lower 90s.

Winds will be breezy out of the southwest at 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Fire weather warnings will be in effect from noon until 8 p.m. due to low humidity values and brisk winds.

Weather tonight: Mainly clear

Skies will stay clear Thursday night as winds slow quickly. Overnight low temperatures will dip into the middle 50s.

Looking ahead: Warm and dry

Friday keeps the sunny skies in the forecast with more seasonal highs in the lower 80s.

Saturday begins the weekend with mainly sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s. Sunday has a few extra clouds through the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s and a small chance for a shower over the plains.

Monday kicks off the next workweek with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 80s.

Tuesday keeps the sunny skies over the state with highs in the middle 80s. Denver finally dips into more seasonal temperatures on Wednesday afternoon with mostly sunny skies.
