Aurora police seek help identifying multiple suspects in July shooting

DENVER (KDVR) — Police in Aurora are still looking for two suspects who investigators believe were involved in a shooting on Colfax Avenue in July.

The Aurora Police Department said the shooting happened around 5 a.m. on July 7 near Chester Street and East Colfax Avenue.

When officers responded, APD said they found one man who was shot during what was described as an “after-hours party.” A spokesperson for the Aurora Police Department told FOX31 in an email that the man was found “around the corner from the shooting, as he ran away from being shot, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.”

“A short time later, another man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound,” the police department said in a post on X Thursday .

The APD spokesperson said the two victims who were shot are believed to be out of the hospital.

Investigators have been working to identify those involved ever since, according to the police department, and they need help.

Police released surveillance images of the suspects who are believed to be involved in the incident.

The police department said it hopes that members of the community might recognize the suspects. Anyone with information about their identities or the shooting is asked to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can earn up to $2,000 and remain anonymous.
