DENVER ( KDVR ) — More seasonal temperatures return on Friday with sunny skies ahead of a warmer weekend in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather today: Sunny and mild

Mainly sunny skies are back across the state on Friday with lighter winds. However, there will still be a breeze over the plains and high country.

Highs on Friday will be close to seasonal averages in the lower 80s.

Weather tonight: Clear and comfy

Skies stay clear Friday night with winds continuing to slow. Overnight low temperatures will end up in the lower 50s.

Looking ahead: Nicer next week

The weekend begins with mainly sunny skies and warmer highs in the upper 80s.

Sunday will have a few extra clouds with a small chance for a shower in the plains. Highs on Sunday afternoon will be warm as Denver nears 90 degrees.

The warmer weather lingers through Monday afternoon as highs hover in the upper 80s with sunny skies.

Tuesday is still in the upper 80s with a few afternoon clouds.

Wednesday brings in some relief with seasonal highs in the lower 80s and sunny skies. Thursday is also in the lower 80s with plenty of sunshine.
