(NEXSTAR) — How bad is work-life balance in The Mile High City? Pretty bad, according to a new analysis by personal finance outlet FinanceBuzz . In fact, Denver ranked no. 1 nationally for being the most overworked U.S. city.

To figure this out, FinanceBuzz ranked over 75 of the U.S.’ biggest cities based on six data points — including average number of hours working/commuting, percentage of workers working 50+ weeks per year, percentage of active workers over the age of 65, and more.

When it comes to the various metrics FinanceBuzz used to measure over-workedness, analysts said Denver “ranks above-average in every single metric we looked at.”

Analysts explained that although several factors contribute to Denver’s highest score, the major reason for its high placement is the percentage of households where two or more people work full-time jobs.

“Almost 62% of households in Denver fit that bill, the seventh-highest rate of any city,” wrote analyst Josh Koebert.

All-in-all, Denver received an “Overworked score” of 71 out of 100, with some of its highest scores coming from percentage of workers who work 50+ weeks per year and volume of searches for “side hustles” or “side jobs.”

City Overworked score Average work + commute time Workers who work 50+ weeks per year Older adult workers Workers with 2 jobs Google Trends search volume for “side hustle” jobs
    Denver 71.0 43.85 (weekly) 87.2% 22.6% 6.3% 69.5

While Denver’s score for percentage of workers with two jobs (6.3%) is lower than some other cities (that percentage is 7.7% in Omaha, for instance), it’s still on the higher end.

The national “Overworked score” average was 51.4 — which Denver surpassed by 19.6 points. Denver was named the second- most overworked city by FinanceBuzz just last year.

But before you think Denver got is the only Colorado city in need of a vacation, FinanceBuzz also named Colorado Springs its 10th most overworked city in the U.S.

“While the number of people looking for side jobs is higher in Colorado Springs than in Denver, things like combined average work and commute time and the percentage of elderly workers in the city are lower,” wrote Koebert.

Colorado Springs also had a higher-than-average percentage of workers who work more than 50 weeks per year (86.7%), in addition to a higher volume of searches for side hustles than even Denver (75.5).

Denver ranked as the hottest labor market in the US

Perhaps these two Colorado cities could take a page from Detroit, which was found to be least overworked city in America by FinanceBuzz. Analysts found that Detroit’s percentage of senior citizen workers is the lowest of any U.S. city (13.5%) and the lowest percentage of workers that work more than 50 weeks per year (77.1%).
