Minor killed in crash with semitruck near Pueblo

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. ( KXRM ) — The Colorado State Patrol said a crash between a semitruck and a pedestrian resulted in the death of a minor in the early morning hours on Monday.

CSP told Nexstar’s FOX21 that the call for the crash came in around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 50 at milepost 322 near Baxter Road, east of Pueblo.

Law enforcement said they found a minor dead on the scene and a semitruck driver who claimed to be involved. It is unclear why the minor was walking in the area.

According to CSP, the investigation is still ongoing, and the road remained closed for several hours.

Slow the fk down people, this way you give people the chance to stop when convenient. Lets make race cars for race tracks, its crazy how these semi trucks are always trying to jump in the fast lane, sometimes even cutting traffic off or slowing traffic down! These people are driving trucks, not race cars, these trucks are not race cars, they weigh too much and will not stop when convenient so it is best for them to stay in the slower lanes, keeping their speed, the speed limit, and allow smaller vehicles to pass, as they weigh less and have more time to stop. It is crazy how people drive in Colorado! As an Uber driver, I'm all over Colorado. Its ashamed too because a lot of these people come from the ARMY depot, and should know better (Springs). Not all personnel are bad drivers, and not all Coloradoans are bad drivers, its just the narcissism, ignorant people who think differently, and not logically. I can be going 5, sometimes even 10 mph, more than the speed limit just to get past slower traffic, and allow the people tailgating, mind you, behind me to get past, as these types love to speed! This tailgating is so weird and deviant, even when you'll be going at a fast rate people will expect you to be going even faster than that, when it is illegal! Its crazy! When I drive I do my best to stay away from individuals like this, and I am never caught lacking neither. I'm very fortunate to understand important concepts of human behavior, so much that I know how to control my own
