DENVER ( KDVR ) — When you start the season on a two-game losing streak, there will no doubt be a lot of finger-pointing, and all those digits are aiming toward the 2024 Denver Broncos and their lack of offense.

James Merilatt from Denver Sports and 104.3 The FAN told Colorado Sports Night that the blame can span from head coach Sean Payton to the overall talent on the field and the decision to move on from quarterback Russell Wilson.

DMac on CSN: Bo Nix shouldn’t change a thing moving forward

“Bo Nix is now the one that’s trying to soar like an eagle, and he’s flying with turkeys. So, they (the Broncos) have a talent issue. But look, Sean Payton’s supposed to be an offensive guru,” Merilatt said.

He goes on to say, “The most success they’ve had, and it was in Seattle at the end of the first half and the end of the regulation and it was against the Steelers in the fourth quarter when they (offense) went no-huddle, simplified things, weren’t changing personnel in every play. It just limits the playbook and makes things easier on everybody including Bo Nix, so I would do that. I would go up tempo at other parts of the game and try to jump start things a little bit.

You can watch Colorado Sports Night every weeknight on Channel 2 at 11 p.m.
